The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Holmes County in northeastern Ohio...

* Until 1115 PM EDT

* At 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to 
  begin shortly.  2 to 3 inches of rain has already fallen across 
  much of Holmes County and up to additional inch is possible. Rapid 
  rises in area streams and creeks should be expected. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Millersburg, Berlin, Walnut Creek, Sugarcreek, Killbuck,
  Holmesville, Winesburg, Farmerstown, Baltic, Mount Hope and Charm.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT FOR
HOLMES COUNTY...

At 951 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding across 
portions of Holmes County.  The worst of the flooding appears to be 
north of Millersburg into the Holmesville area.  Little additional 
rainfall is expected but it will take some time for flood waters to 
recede.  Several roads remain closed and at least one vehicle has 
already been swept off the road by flood waters.  Over 3.5 inches of 
rain was measured in the area. Area streams and creeks...including 
Killbuck Creek will likely continue to rise for a few more hours 
before beginning to subside.  

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Millersburg, Berlin, Walnut Creek, Sugarcreek, Killbuck, Holmesville,
Winesburg, Farmerstown, Baltic, Mount Hope and Charm.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
