  East central Piscataquis County in north central Maine...
  North central Penobscot County in east central Maine...

* Until 600 PM EDT.
    
* At 454 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a 
  tornado was located 8 miles north of Ripogenus and near 
  Nesowadnehunk Campground in Baxter State Park, moving east at 30 
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will move east over Northern Baxter State 
  Park from about 5 to 530 PM and into Katahdin Woods and Waters 
  National Monument around 530 to 545 PM.

was located over Baxter State Park near Russell Pond Campground, or 
7 miles north of Mount Katahdin, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage

Monument, or 10 miles northeast of Mount Katahdin, moving east at 35
mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will move east through Katahdin Woods and 
Waters National Monument through 6 PM.
