At 1101 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Avon, or 10 miles south of Chili, moving northeast at 30 mph. This storm is producing very heavy rainfall, with over an inch of rain in 30 minutes or less. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Rochester, East Rochester, Fairport, Brighton, Ontario, Henrietta, Penfield, Palmyra, Avon and Victor. This includes the following highways... Interstate 390 between exits 9 and 12. Interstate 90 between exits 46 and 43. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
