The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties. * TIMING...From late this morning through early this evening. * WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 24 percent. * IMPACTS...The potential exists for rapid development and spread of wild fires...or for prescribed burns to get out of control. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that dangerous fire weather conditions are expected due to the combination of gusty winds...low relative humidities...and dry fuels.
