...Strong Northeast Winds Across the Area Through This Morning...

.Northeast to east winds of 15 to 25 mph gusting 30 to 40 mph were
common across the area early this morning. In some of the more
open areas, winds were 30 to 35 mph gusting to around 45 mph. 
These winds are going to continue through this morning, and may 
strengthen a bit before beginning to diminish this afternoon.

These winds can blow loose yard items around, break weak branches
off trees and create control problems for those driving light-
weight or high-profile vehicles.

Advisory, which is in effect until 1 PM CDT this afternoon. 

* TIMING...3 am to noon today. 

* WINDS...northeast to east winds 25 to 35 mph gusting 35 to 
  around 45 mph. 

* IMPACTS...Loose objects may blow around, weak branches may break
  from trees, driving light-weight or high-profile vehicles can 
  be difficult. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or wind
gusts of 45 mph or stronger are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles.
Use extra caution.
