The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 2 AM PST Sunday. * TIMING...Winds will continue to increase and peak this evening, then decrease after midnight. * WINDS...For the Sierra, Owens Valley, Spring Mountains, Red Rock Canyon, and the western and southern edges of the Las Vegas Valley: West to southwest wind 25-40 MPH, with gusts 40-55 MPH. For the rest of the Las Vegas Valley expect gusts 25-35 MPH. * IMPACTS...Sudden strong crosswinds will be possible along US-395 through the Owens Valley, especially south of Lone Pine as well as along State Route 159 near Red Rock Canyon. High-profile vehicles will be especially susceptible to strong winds. Areas of blowing dust may reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
