The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South central Graham County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 230 PM MST

* At 1130 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the top of Mt Graham. Storms are expected to 
  continue to develop over the mountain adding to the inch of rain 
  that radar has already indicated has already fallen. Flash 
  flooding is expected to begin shortly. Currently the area 
  receiving the heaviest rain is near the telescopes, from Soldier 
  Creek Campground to Hospital Flat Recreational Area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  The upper part of the Frye Fire Burn Scar and locations below it, 
  primarily Swift Trail Rd (Highway 366) and possibly later on down 
  Ash Creek, Frye Creek into Frye Mesa Dam and toward the Fort Grant 
  area.  

Areas affected include the Frye Fire Burn Scar and locations below
it, namely Ash Creek, Frye Creek and Swift Trail Rd (Highway 366).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This warning includes areas in or below a wildfire burn scar.
Rainfall on burned areas can cause increased flash flooding, debris
flows, mud slides, and rock slides. Take action now to protect
yourself from the effects of flash flooding and remember, Turn
Around, Don't Drown!

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 PM MST FOR
SOUTH CENTRAL GRAHAM COUNTY...

At 1245 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
that very heavy rain has occurred over part of Mt Graham with 
anywhere from one to three inches with rains continuing to fall. 
this is a potentially very dangerous situation and flash flooding if 
it has not already started will begin shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.

Normally dry washes and low water crossings may be inundated in the
following locations...  The upper part of the Frye Fire Burn Scar 
and locations below it, primarily Swift Trail Rd (Highway 366) and 
possibly later on down Ash Creek, Frye Creek into Frye Mesa Dam and 
toward the Fort Grant area. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
