Northwestern Crawford County in northwestern Arkansas... * Until 215 AM CDT * At 1119 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported roads closed across the warned area. Radar estimates between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain has fallen within about an hour, in the Natural Dam and Cedarville areas. Highway 59 is flooded and some flooded roads have been reported in Cedarville. * Some locations that may experience flooding include... Van Buren... Cedarville... Natural Dam... Rudy... Figure Five... Lee Creek... Uniontown... This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 22 and 28. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. At 1210 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms have ended across the warned area. However, radar estimates that between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain fell over the past couple of hours in the Natural Dam and Cedarville areas. Roads near Cedarville and Natural Dam were reported flooded by these rains. The waters should begin to recede over the next couple hours as the heavy rains have ended.
