...Strong winds to return later tonight through Saturday morning...

.A clipper system will bring another day of strong winds to the
region starting later tonight...and continuing through Saturday
morning. Areas along the Rocky Mountain Front...adjacent high
plains...and east central high plains could see gusts over 60 MPH.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 2 PM MST SATURDAY...

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a High
Wind Warning...which is in effect from 2 AM to 2 PM MST Saturday.

* Winds...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* Timing...Winds will increase dramatically after 2 AM Saturday
  morning...and continue into the early overnight hours. Winds
  will then diminish during the late afternoon period.

* Impacts...The strong winds will create difficult driving
  conditions for most vehicles...especially high profile vehicles.
  Loose and unsecured items may blow away.

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected

Wind Warning...which is in effect until 10 AM MST Saturday.

* Winds...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* Timing...Strong winds may find a brief lull during the late
  evening hours tonight. Winds will then increase once again late
  tonight into early Saturday morning. Winds should then become
  below high wind criteria by Saturday afternoon.

* Impacts...The strong winds will create difficult driving
  conditions for most vehicles...especially high profile vehicles.

High Wind Warning.

Gusty west winds will continue through much of today before 
diminishing late this afternoon and evening. However...widespread
wind gusts in excess of 60 mph are no longer anticipated and the 
High Wind Warning has been cancelled.

  60 mph. Elsewhere...the wind will continue to increase and
  remain gusty into early this afternoon before gradually
  diminishing.

* Impacts...The strong winds will create difficult driving
  conditions for most vehicles...especially high profile vehicles.
  Loose and unsecured items may blow away. The strong wind may
  also lead to patchy blowing and drifting snow in areas which may
  cause some travel issues.

The strong gusty winds across eastern sections of central Montana
will continue to gradually decrease through this evening. While
wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will still be common over the next few
hours...wind gusts in excess of 58 mph are no longer
expected...therefore the High Wind Warning will be allowed to
expire.
