Strong northerly winds will develop behind the front, with these strong winds enhanced as they move through the north to south canyons in Washington county. These strong winds will persist into Monday morning, then diminish across the area by late morning. The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 10 AM MDT Monday. * AFFECTED AREA...All north to south canyons in Washington county in extreme southwest Utah. * WINDS...Northerly 20 to 30 mph, with gusts approaching 50 mph. * TIMING...Strong winds will develop behind a cold front scheduled to pass through the area early this evening. Winds will remain strong and quite gusty overnight and into early Monday morning. These winds will decrease beginning late Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Travel, especially with high profile and light vehicles, will be hampered by the strong and gusty northerly winds. Unsecured outdoor items could easily be blown around in these strong winds. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
