* At 1200 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing

  Generally 3 to 6 inches of rain has fallen. Ongoing flash flooding
  is expected to continue through the overnight and into Sunday
  morning.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT FOR
WEBSTER...CHRISTIAN AND GREENE COUNTIES...

At 1101 AM CDT, The Department of Transportation reported flash 
flooding in the warned area. Doppler radar indicated between 3 and 9 
inches of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is continuing.

* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
  susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route CC west of Fair Grove at The Pomme De Terre River...
Route U at Pedelo Creek northeast of Sparta...
Scenic Avenue in southwest Springfield...
Route C at The Little Sac River north of Strafford...
and Greenwood Road at The Pomme de Terre Headwaters.

There are quite a few sections of state highways and county roads 
have areas which are impassible and are closed due to flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
