At 303 AM EDT, thunderstorms were clustered over Forest, moving northeast at 10 mph. Doppler radar estimates one-hourly rainfall rates up to 1.25" with these thunderstorms. Rainfall estimates this high may lead to localized ponding of water and poor drainage flooding, especially in areas that received torrential rains from thunderstorms Thursday afternoon, as well as in the city of Lynchburg. Locations impacted include... Lynchburg... Forest... Madison Heights... Boonsboro... and Goode. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
