The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Perry County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 230 PM EDT

* At 1124 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain had fallen 
  across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already 
  fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  New Lexington, Somerset, Shawnee, Perry State Forest, Crooksville,
  Junction City, Corning, Glenford, Hemlock and Rendville.

Additional rainfall amounts of a quarter to a half an inch are 
possible in the warned area.

Some areas where flooding has been reported include route 13 in 
Somerset, Tunnel Hill Road, Hall Road, and SR 345. Flooding has also 
been reported been reported near Crooksville, particularly in the 
vicinity of Midway Speedway. Persons with interests along Rush, 
Bear, and Moxahala creeks should be especially vigilant for rising 
waters and take action if necessary. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
