The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Johnson County in north central Wyoming...

* Until 1245 AM MDT

* At 843 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have 
  already fallen across Johnson County. Flash flooding is expected 
  to begin shortly. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Kaycee, Mayoworth, Barnum, Sussex.

The location of greatest concern will be along the Crazy Woman 
Creek. 

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 25 between mile markers 240 and 297.
 Interstate 90 between mile markers 60 and 91.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM MDT FOR
CENTRAL JOHNSON COUNTY...

At 916 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding 
occurring along Crazy Woman Creek between Interstate 25 and 90 in 
north-central Johnson County. Other areas of greatest concern will 
the North and Middle Fork of the Powder River, Alkali creek, the 
north and south fork of Crazy Woman Creek. 

Widespread 1 to 3 inches of rain has fallen over a large area between 
Kaycee and Buffalo so other creeks and streams will be running high.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
