The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 4 AM to 4 PM PST Thursday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect. * Timing: Winds will increase in the foothills after midnight, with stronger winds spreading into the valleys Thursday morning. Gusty winds will continue through the day, although the strongest winds are expected in the morning. * Winds: Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph. For wind prone areas such as I-580 in the Washoe Valley and Highway 395 near Stead, gusts of 60 to 70 mph are likely in the morning. * Impacts: Plan for hazardous travel conditions for high profile vehicles along Highway 395 and Interstate 580.
