At 620 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a developing strong thunderstorm 8 miles southeast of Yerington, or 31 miles northeast of Topaz Lake. his storm was nearly stationary. Half inch hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with this storm. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Mineral and central Lyon Counties. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. During a thunderstorm, seek shelter inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
