An atmospheric river will produce intense rainfall with snow levels
near 9000 feet Sunday and Sunday night. Intense rain, saturated soils
and melting snow will combine to produce excess runoff and cause the
most areas river to flood. Rain and snow levels will decrease on
Monday, however flooding will continue into Tuesday across the lower
reaches of the Truckee and .

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flood preparations should be completed by Saturday morning, before
weather conditions deteriorate. Never drive through flooded areas
and follow the directions of emergency officials.

The next forecast update for these locations will be issued at about
9 am Saturday.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Sunday afternoon and 
  crest near 20.3 feet by early Monday morning. The river will fall
  below flood stage by early Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 20.5 feet...Moderate flooding from Highway 395 in Reno
  to Nixon.  Sparks industrial area flooded up to 6 feet. Glendale
  Avenue bridge is closed, Greg Street should remain open. Water
  leaves channel at Glendale, flows south to Grand Sierra Pond, but
  Reno Airport not flooded. Rock Boulevard is closed south of Greg
  Street. McCarran is closed from I 80 south to Boynton Slough and
  Pembroke. Mill Street is closed east of Greg St.

  roads, bridges and structures from Genoa to Fort Churchill,
  including Carson City and Dayton. Most roads in valley areas are
  flooded making transportation very difficult. Massive erosion with
  large agricultural losses, possible livestock drownings if they 
  have not been moved to high ground.

* Impact...At 9.5 feet...Moderate flooding of lowlands, roads and 
  low-lying structures in reach from Beckwourth to Sloat including
  Portola.  In Portola...Areas of Highway 70 near the river 
  experience some minor flooding. The south end of West Street
  floods and water is within about a foot of Veterans Hall.
  Highway 89 near Clio is flooded.

An atmospheric river will produce intense rainfall with snow levels
near 9000 feet Sunday and Sunday night. Intense rain, saturated soils
and melting snow will combine to produce excess runoff and cause
rivers to flood. Rain and snow levels will decrease on Monday,
however flood impacts will continue into Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flood preparations should be rushed to completion as soon as
possible. Weather conditions will deteriorate tonight with flood
impacts starting early Sunday morning. Never drive through flooded
areas and follow the directions of emergency officials.
