* Flash Flood Warning for...
Stanly County in central North Carolina...
* Until 430 AM EDT
* At 258 AM EDT, local law enforcement officials reported a slow
moving thunderstorm producing flooding across the warned area. Up
to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly. Local law enforcement requests the
public stay off the roads unless its an emergency.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Albemarle, Badin Lake, Plyler, Locust, Norwood, Badin, Oakboro,
Stanfield.
This includes the following flood prone areas...Mountain Creek at
Mountain Creek Road...Town Creek at Highway 52 and Snuggs Park
Road...Hardy Creek at Mt Zion Church Road...Big Bear Creek at

STANLY COUNTY...
At 336 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding on roads in
Albemarle and Oakboro. Although the heavy rain has ended, up to
three inches of rain have fallen across Stanly county and roadways
are likely to continue to experience issues through 430 AM. Law
enforcement requests the public stay off the roads, except in the
case of an emergency.
