  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
  begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Coaldale and the Hayden Pass burn scar. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

At 339 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the Hayden Pass burn scar.  Flash flooding is expected 
to begin shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow 
moving through the Little Cottonwood, Butter and Cottonwood Creek 
watersheds. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and 
other loose materials.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Coaldale and Hayden Pass burn scar. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

showers continue and the threat of flash flooding from earlier heavy 
rains continues.

Excessive rainfall over the Hayden Pass burn scar will result in 
debris flow moving through the Little Cottonwood, Butter and 
Cottonwood Creek watersheds. The debris flow can consist of rock, 
mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Coaldale and Hayden Pass burn scar.

At 502 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain have moved away from the warned area.  However, light rain 
showers continue and the threat of flash flooding from earlier heavy 
rains continues.

Excessive rainfall over the Hayden Pass burn scar will result in 
debris flow moving through the Little Cottonwood, Butter and 
Cottonwood Creek watersheds. The debris flow can consist of rock, 
mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

At 4:50 PM MDT...Spotter reports indicated that Cottonwood Creek had 
risen 6 inches and was carrying small debris downstream.

Coaldale and Hayden Pass burn scar.

CUSTER AND NORTHEASTERN SAGUACHE COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

Light rain showers continue but heavy rain has ended over the Hayden 
Pass burn scar area. High flows are receding. Flooding is no longer 
expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining 
road closures and do not travel through water over roads.
