Eastern Kiowa County in southeastern Colorado... * Until 1045 PM MDT * At 743 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen in an area centered around 2 miles north of Chivington. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chivington, and Brandon including Big Sandy Creek and Rush Creek. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
