...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 1 PM MST this afternoon. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Portions of the higher terrain of Maricopa,
  Pinal and Gila Counties.

* TIMING...Through early afternoon.

* WINDS...Sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* IMPACTS...Windy conditions are expected through mountain passes,
  gaps and channels including near the Salt River. Motorists 
  should be alert for difficult driving conditions. Boaters may 
  also encounter windy conditions on area lakes including Apache 
  Lake and Saguaro Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds of between
30 and 40 mph are expected, or wind gusts of between 40 and
58 mph. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles. In addition, strong winds over desert
areas could result in briefly lowered visibilities to well under
a mile at times in blowing dust or blowing sand. Use extra
caution.
