6 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* LOCATIONS...Monroe County.

* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain. A brief period of sleet is also 
  possible

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...Up to two tenths of an inch.

* TIMING...Precipitation will change over to steady freezing rain
  early Friday morning. Freezing rain should continue through 
  Friday morning. Precipitation may switch back and forth between 
  rain and freezing rain Friday afternoon and Friday night.

* IMPACTS...Icing may create slippery conditions on roads, 
  bridges and sidewalks.

* WINDS...East 5 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph will be possible 
  Friday afternoon.

* TEMPERATURES...In the lower 30s. Temperatures may get into the 
  mid 30s Friday afternoon and late Friday night.

* LOCATIONS...Higher terrain above 1000 feet in elevation in 
  Monroe County.

* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...One-tenth to one-third inch. Amounts over
  one-quarter inch will likely be confined to elevations above 
  1500 feet.

* TIMING...Rain will change to freezing rain early this morning.
  Precipitation may switch back and forth between rain and
  freezing rain this afternoon and tonight as temperatures hover
  very close to freezing. However, the highest ridges in the
  county will likely see freezing rain persist during this time.
  Freezing rain ends early Saturday morning. 

* IMPACTS...Icing may create slippery conditions on roads,
  especially untreated local roads, bridges and overpasses.
  Isolated power outages are possible, particularly at elevations
  above 1500 feet.

* WINDS...East 10 to 20 mph, becoming northeast late tonight.
  Gusts up to 35 mph will be today and this evening along the
  ridges.

* TEMPERATURES...In the lower 30s. Temperatures may get into the
  mid 30s this afternoon and tonight, especially at elevations
  below 1500 feet.

* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...One-tenth to two-tenths of an inch. 

* TIMING...Precipitation is expected to switch back and forth
  between rain and freezing rain tonight as temperatures hover
  very close to freezing. However, the highest ridges in the
  county will likely see freezing rain persist during this time.
  Freezing rain is expected to end early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Ice accumulations will create treacherous driving 
  conditions. The weight of the ice on tree limbs and power 
  lines could produce numerous power outages. 

* WINDS...East 10 to 20 mph, becoming northeast late tonight.
  Gusts up to 35 mph this evening along the ridges.

* TEMPERATURES...In the low 30s.

* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...Up to around one-tenth of an inch.

* TIMING...Areas of light rain will continue to affect Monroe 
  County during the night. Temperatures will remain near the 
  freezing mark in the high terrain and some of the rain will 
  freeze upon contact with the ground, with trees and utility 
  wires and with other objects. The potential for freezing rain is
  expected to end early on Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...The ice will accumulate on untreated roads and 
  walkways creating slippery conditions.

...FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 8 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

Freezing rain is changing over to snow across the higher
elevations, and temperatures will slowly rise through the morning
hours. A few tenths of an inch of snow are possible, but no 
significat accumulation is expected. Therefore the freezing rain 
advisory will be allowed to exire at 8 am.
