producing heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches
of rain have fallen in some locations since midnight.
Thunderstorms early this morning will continue to produce up to
one inch of rain in less than an hour. Flash flooding is expected
to begin shortly.

COUNTIES...
A renewed period of flash flooding is increasing across the warned
area, following a brief lull in the heavy rain earlier this morning.
An observer in southern Pike County measured 7.93 inches of rain
during the night. This has resulted in major flooding there, with
some county roads impassable. Around 5 inches has fallen in the
Evansville area over the past 24 hours, resulting in some flooded
roads and water rescues overnight.
At 710 AM CDT, numerous thunderstorms with very heavy downpours
continued to develop over the warned area. The Evansville airport
measured half an inch of rain in 15 minutes around 7 AM.
Widespread heavy rain will continue to redevelop over the warned
area through mid-morning. This flash flooding situation will
continue to worsen, and the warning may need to be extended later
into the day.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Evansville, Princeton, Boonville, Fort Branch, Oakland City, Melody
Hill, Haubstadt, Darmstadt, Lynnville, and New Harmony.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
