* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Queens County in southeastern New York...
  Richmond County in southeastern New York...
  Bronx County in southeastern New York...
  New York County in southeastern New York...
  Kings County in southeastern New York...

* Until 800 PM EDT

* At 502 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Additional thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain will move into the area once the current 
  storms exit. This will produce flash flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Jamaica, Flatbush, Flushing, Mott Haven, East Tremont, Coney 
  Island, Rockaway Beach, Todt Hill, Crown Heights, Throgs Neck 
  Bridge, Midtown Manhattan, Kennedy Airport, RFK Bridge and 
  Huguenot.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to two inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR
QUEENS...RICHMOND...BRONX...NEW YORK AND KINGS COUNTIES...

At 648 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms 
producing locally heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two 
inches of rain have already fallen across portions of the city. The 
additional rainfall may produce some areas of new flooding, and 
allow any existing flooding to continue.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of urban 
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage 
areas and low lying spots.
