The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a High Wind
Warning for the Camas Prairie...Grangeville and Highway 95...
which is in effect until 11 AM PDT this morning. 

* Impacts/Timing: Strong wind gusts will be present through late
  this morning. Tree and infrastructure damage will be possible.
  Dangerous crosswinds will exist for area travelers.

* Winds: South 30 to 40 mph...gusting to 60 mph.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* Impacts/Timing: Winds will begin to increase in the morning,
  peaking between noon and 3pm. High profile vehicles may have
  difficulty due to strong cross winds, particularly along the I-90
  corridor between Deerlodge and Anaconda. In the higher terrain,
  falling trees will be particularly hazardous in recent burn 
  scars. 

* Winds: Southwest to west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. 
  Gusts over 50 mph will be possible in the higher terrain. 

* Locations impacted include: Butte, Georgetown Lake, Highway 12 
  Garrison to Elliston, Homestake Pass, and MacDonald Pass

EVENING...

* Impacts/Timing: Gusty winds will develop late tonight, peaking 
  between 11am and 2pm Sunday. Increased chop on Flathead Lake 
  will cause difficult conditions for small water craft. 

* Winds: South winds around 15 mph in the morning becoming 
  southwesterly 15 to 25 mph with gusts to near 40 mph possible 
  by mid day. 

* Wave heights: 1 to 3 feet, locally up to 4 feet on the 
  northeast side of the lake. 

* Locations impacted include: Flathead Lake, Flathead Valley, 
  Mission Valley, and Polson

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.

Note...The experimental wave height forecasts are representative
of the mid lake waters and downwind shores. Wave heights may be
significantly less on upwind shores.

Wind Warning. 

Breezy winds to 45 mph will continue over the Camas Prairie,
however a general decrease in winds will continue through the
afternoon and damage is no longer expected.

Advisory...which is in effect until 8 PM MDT this evening. 

* Impacts/Timing: Winds will begin to increase late this morning,
  peaking between 1pm and 3pm. High profile vehicles may have
  difficulty due to strong cross winds, particularly along the
  Highway 28 corridor between Tendoy and Lone Pine and Highway 93
  between Salmon and Ellis.

* Winds: Southwest to west 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. 
  Gusts over 50 mph will be possible in the higher terrain. 

* Locations impacted include: Bannock Pass, Highway 28 Tendoy to 
  Lone Pine, Highway 93 Lost Trail Pass to Gibbonsville, Lemhi 
  Pass, and Salmon
