...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 5 PM EST this afternoon. 

Hazardous Weather:

 * Expect northwest winds to gust as high as 45 mph through mid to
   late afternoon. The strongest winds will occur in open areas near
   Lake Superior and over west facing higher terrain from the 
   Porcupine Mountains through the Keweenaw Peninsula. 

 * Although any additional snow today will be no more than an inch
   or two, the gusty winds will cause some blowing snow. 

Impacts:

 * The gusty winds may break some tree limbs and cause sporadic
   power outages. 

 * Where blowing snow is occurring, visibilities may drop below
   one mile at times. 

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:

 * A Wind Advisory means that frequent wind gusts of 45 to 57 mph
   are expected or occuring.
