CURRENT RISK, WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING. 

* TIMING...STRONG RIP CURRENTS WILL BE PRESENT AT AREA BEACHES
  TODAY ESPECIALLY AROUND TIMES OF LOW TIDE AFTER 5 PM.

* IMPACTS...BEACH REPORTS HAVE CONFIRMED A HIGH RIP CURRENT
  THREAT. NUMEROUS RIP CURRENTS WILL FORM, ESPECIALLY DURING THE 
  TIMES OF THE OUTGOING TIDE. LARGE WAVES CAN EASILY KNOCK YOU OFF
  OF YOUR FEET IF WALKING IN THE SURF.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS.

RIP CURRENTS ARE POWERFUL CHANNELS OF WATER FLOWING QUICKLY AWAY
FROM SHORE, WHICH OCCUR MOST OFTEN AT LOW SPOTS OR BREAKS IN THE
SANDBAR AND IN THE VICINITY OF STRUCTURES SUCH AS JETTIES AND
PIERS. HEED THE ADVICE OF LIFEGUARDS...BEACH PATROL FLAGS AND
SIGNS.

SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD. IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT, RELAX AND
FLOAT. DO NOT SWIM AGAINST THE CURRENT. IF ABLE, SWIM IN A 
DIRECTION FOLLOWING THE SHORELINE. IF UNABLE TO ESCAPE, FACE THE 
SHORE AND CALL OR WAVE FOR HELP.
