The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Brevard County in Florida...

* Until 915 PM EDT

* At 609 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges continue to 
  indicate thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned 
  area. Measured rainfall amounts up to 6 to 8 inches have already 
  occurred from West Melbourne area, as well as Melbourne Beach 
  southward through Floridana Beach today, and additional heavy 
  rainfall amounts up to 2 to 3 inches will be possible. This will 
  lead to flash flooding, with roadways becoming impassable and 
  water potentially entering some homes.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  West Melbourne, Melbourne, Malabar, Indialantic, Melbourne Beach 
  and Floridana Beach. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
