The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Miami-Dade County in southeastern Florida...
  Eastern Broward County in southeastern Florida...

* Until 800 AM EDT
    
* At 735 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 8 miles southeast of Miami Beach, moving northwest at
  80 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

  Virginia Key, Fisher Island and Port Of Miami around 740 AM EDT. 
  Miami, Miami Beach, Surfside, North Miami Beach, Miami Shores, 
  North Bay Village, El Portal, Little Haiti, Gladeview and Liberty 
  City around 745 AM EDT. 
  Miramar, Miami Gardens, Hallandale, North Miami, Aventura, Sunny 
  Isles Beach, Opa-Locka, West Park, Golden Glades and Sun Life 
  Stadium around 750 AM EDT. 
  Miami Lakes, Cooper City, Royal Palm Ranches, Miramar Parkway And 
  University Drive, Sunshine Acres, Nova Southeastern University, 
  Palm Springs North, Chambers Estates, Oak Point and Estates Of 
  Fort Lauderdale around 755 AM EDT.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN MIAMI-DADE AND EASTERN
BROWARD COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 800 AM EDT...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty winds
are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A tornado watch remains in effect until noon EDT for southeastern
Florida.
