OR MORE, AND VERY HIGH TO EXTREME FIRE DANGER FOR THE GUADALUPE
MOUNTAINS, DAVIS/APACHE MOUNTAINS, SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS,
VAN HORN AND THE HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR, UPPER TRANS PECOS, AND
LOVING COUNTY...
.Unseasonably warm temperatures and consequent very dry
conditions will continue today across much of southeast New Mexico
and West Texas. Breezy conditions this afternoon across the higher
terrain, southeast New Mexico plains, Upper Trans Pecos, and
Loving County will result in critical fire weather conditions
across these areas.

Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM CDT /10 AM MDT/ this
morning to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ this evening. The Fire Weather
Watch is no longer in effect.
* WIND...West 20 to 25 mph with higher gusts. West 30 to 45
mph with higher gusts in the Guadalupe Mountains.
* MINIMUM HUMIDITY...6 to 15 percent.
* FIRE DANGER...Very high to extreme.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
