Northwestern Iron County in southeastern Missouri...
Western Washington County in east central Missouri...
* Until 815 AM CDT.
* At 216 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain has
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cuba, Steelville, Bourbon, Anthonies Mill, Viburnum, Leasburg,
Courtois, Bixby, Cherryville, St. Cloud, Dillard, Latty, Shirley,
Cook Station, Davisville and Oak Hill.
This includes Interstate 44 in Missouri between exits 203 and 218.
This also includes Onondaga Cave State Park and Dillard Mill
Historic Site.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR CRAWFORD...NORTHWESTERN IRON AND
WESTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 815 AM CDT...
Heavy rain has ended however several low water crossings remain
flooded in Crawford County and that area has been converted to an
areal flood warning. Please continue to heed any remaining road
closures. No flooding has been reported in either Iron or Washington
County.
