* At 440 PM CDT, Department of Transportation and county officials
indicate some roads remain closed due to high water from the heavy
rainfall event that occurred from Friday through Sunday. While
some of this water may recede today, another heavy rainfall event
is forecast to impact the area beginning tonight and lasting into
Thursday. Another 2 to 4 inches of rain is possible with this next
wave of heavy rain, and this is expected to produce renewed areal
flooding of small creeks, streams, and roads.

Farmington, Chester, Sullivan, Bonne Terre, Desloge, Ste.
Genevieve, Sparta, Fredericktown, Red Bud, Cuba, Potosi,

Interstate 55 in Missouri between exits 141 and 162.

At 1017 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a large area of rain that
will overspread the area this morning. Radar and rain gages indicate
that some locations have received nearly half an inch of rain since
early this morning from the first wave of showers and thunderstorms.
Rain will become more continuous later today and and into tonight
and this is expected to produce large amounts of standing water as
well as renewed areal flooding of small creeks, streams, and roads.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Farmington, Chester, Sullivan, Bonne Terre, Desloge, Ste. Genevieve,
Sparta, Fredericktown, Red Bud, Cuba, Potosi, Steelville, Bourbon,
Bismarck, Ironton, Leadwood, Anthonies Mill, Bremen, Park Hills and
Reynolds.
This also includes Washington State Park, St. Joe State Park, St.
Francois State Park, Onondaga Cave State Park, Johnsons Shut-Ins

At 825 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a break in the rain over the
warned area. However, rain will move back into the warned area by 10
pm. Radar and rain gages indicate that some locations have received
between half an inch and 1.5 inches of rain since early this
morning. Once the rain moves back in it is expected to produce large
amounts of standing water as well as renewed areal flooding of small
creeks, streams, and roads.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Farmington, Chester, Sullivan, Bonne Terre, Desloge, Ste. Genevieve,
Sparta, Fredericktown, Red Bud, Cuba, Potosi, Steelville, Bourbon,
