.A hot and dry air mass will combine with gusty onshore winds on
Monday and Monday evening to produce critical fire weather
conditions across the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys as well
as the Los Angeles County Mountains.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A 
RED FLAG WARNING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE LOS 
ANGELES COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY. THIS 
WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 9 PM PDT MONDAY.

* Winds...Southwest winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph with gusts
  to 35 mph on Monday morning and remain gusty through Monday
  evening. Local southwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph 
  with gusts to 45 mph over the interior foothills into the 
  Antelope Valley.

* Relative Humidity...Humidities will fall to generally between 6
  to 13 percent on Monday and remain below critical humidity 
  through Monday evening.

* Impacts...If fire ignition occurs, conditions are favorable for
  extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and property.

Gusty onshore winds will continue to diminish tonight allowing
the Red Flag Warning to expire. However, very warm and dry
conditions coupled with a return of gusty onshore winds in the
afternoon hours will bring elevated fire danger to all interior 
sections on Tuesday.
