At 1244 AM EDT/1144 PM CDT/, local law enforcement reported flash
flooding across portions of southern Dubois County. Some roads are
closed due to high water. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Expect an additional 1/2 to locally 1 inch of rain over the next
hour.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jasper, Huntingburg, Ferdinand, French Lick, Holland, Birdseye,
Hillham, Celestine, Millersport and Bretzville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
