tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located along a
line extending from near Liberty to 7 miles west of Montpelier to
near White Castle, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Montpelier around 855 AM CDT.

The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been
cancelled. However, damaging winds remain likely and a Severe
Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area. Gusty winds
are still possible with these thunderstorms.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 300 PM CDT for southeastern
Louisiana...and southern Mississippi.
Remember, a Tornado Warning still remains in effect for portions of
St. Helena...Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes until 930 am CDT.
