Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s across the western sandhills and southwestern Nebraska. Gusty westerly winds of 15 to 25 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH are expected Thursday afternoon and these winds will usher in dry air off of the high plains of the western Nebraska panhandle and northeastern Colorado.
