The National Weather Service in JACKSON KY has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Breathitt County in southeastern Kentucky...
  Magoffin County in southeastern Kentucky...

* Until 615 PM EDT

* At 440 PM EDT, the public reported flash flooding along Highway 7 
  between Salyersville and Royalton. Up to two inches of rain have 
  already fallen in the warned area. Additional rainfall will be 
  light, however, runoff will continue to produce flash flooding in 
  low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Salyersville, Mason, Fredville, Bradley, Ordway, Gifford, Fritz,
  Falcon, Carver, Ivyton, Burning Fork, Kernie, Cyrus, Foraker,
  Swampton, West Royalton Station, Mashfork, Elsie, Carver Station
  and Licksburg.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN BREATHITT AND MAGOFFIN COUNTIES...

At 520 PM EDT, the state highway department reported highways 7 and 
867 remain closed in Magoffin County due to flash flooding as up to 
two inches of rain fell in a short period of time in earlier 
thunderstorms. Runoff will keep water levels high for the next 30 
minutes to an hour in areas currently flooded.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salyersville, Mason, Fredville, Bradley, Ordway, Gifford, Fritz,
Falcon, Carver, Ivyton, Burning Fork, Kernie, Cyrus, Foraker,
Swampton, West Royalton Station, Mashfork, Elsie, Carver Station and

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN BREATHITT AND MAGOFFIN
COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 615 PM EDT...

At 605 pm EDT, Magoffin County Search and Rescue reported that all 
roads have reopened after the earlier flash flooding. Flooding is no 
longer expected to pose a threat and the warning will be allowed to 
expire.
