The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening. * TIMING...Wind speeds will increase through the late morning, and remain strong until early this evening. * WINDS...South winds will average 25 to 30 mph, with occasional wind gusts of 40 to 45 mph. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Avoid burning today! In these windy conditions, a fire will quickly get out of control and be difficult to contain. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be 31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph.
