The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon. * Locations...Elevations above 2000 feet across far northeastern Georgia. * Winds...Northwest winds 15 MPH to 25 MPH with frequent gusts up to 40 MPH. * Timing...Through 2 PM this afternoon. * Impacts...Strong winds will bring down large tree limbs and some weaker trees, especially with the saturated soils. Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 20 mph or higher and wind gusts of 35 MPH or greater are expected.
