The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Dooly County in central Georgia...
  Northwestern Crisp County in central Georgia...

* Until 1230 PM EDT
    
* At 1154 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located over Georgia Veterans Memorial St Pk, or near
  Cordele, moving northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* Locations impacted include...
  Cordele, Vienna, Georgia Veterans Memorial St Pk and Richwood. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Motorists should not take shelter under highway overpasses. If you
cannot safely drive away from the tornado, as a last resort, either
park your vehicle and stay put, or abandon your vehicle and lie down
in a low lying area and protect yourself from flying debris.

Heavy rainfall may hide this tornado. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore the warning has been cancelled.  However heavy rain is
still possible with this thunderstorm.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 600 PM EDT for central and
west central Georgia.
