The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Fayette County in south central Texas...
* Until 1145 AM CDT Monday
* At 542 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated only light to moderate
rains across Fayette county. These areas have already received
between 11 to 23 inches due to Harvey. Widespread flooding is
ongoing, with hundreds of low water crossings closed due to high
water. A number of high water rescues have occurred. It is
possible that there could be an increase in the intensity of the
rainbands impacting the area, which would further worsen flooding
issues. Travel is extremely discouraged.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
La Grange, Schulenburg, Flatonia, Fayetteville, Round Top, Muldoon,
Cistern, Carmine, Swiss Alp, Dubina, Rutersville, Warrenton, O
Quinn, Engle, Ledbetter, Waldeck, Plum, Ammannsville, Mullins
Prairie and Nechanitz.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the
warned area.

* At 1127 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated only very light rain
falling in the warned area. However, storm total rains from Harvey
across Fayette County have largely ranged from 15 to 25 inches
with some locations as high as nearly 30 inches. Major flooding is
ongoing along the Colorado River in La Grange. Exercise extreme
caution if you must travel, and do not drive into flooded roadways.
