* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Val Verde County in south central Texas...
* Until 600 AM CDT
* At 304 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two and one half inches
of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shumla, Seminole Canyon State Park and U.S. Highway 90.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

CENTRAL VAL VERDE COUNTY...
At 409 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Radar estimates up to 4 inches of rain
have already fallen across central Val Verde county, including the
Seminole Canyon State Park. Flash flooding is likely ongoing or
will begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
