South central Hudspeth County in southwestern Texas... * Until 415 PM MDT * At 111 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly around Indian Hot Springs Road and I-10, west of Sierra Blanca. * Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Hudspeth County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
