A warm front is bringing moderate rain to the area this afternoon.
Late tonight into early Thursday a cold front will bring heavy rain
into the region. An additional 4 to 6 inches of rain is expected.

* FORECAST...This river is Forecast to rise above monitor stage of
30.0 FT late this evening then expected to rise above flood stage
of 38.0 FT tomorrow afternoon. It is then forecast to crest near
42.0 FT early Friday morning. It is forecast fall below
flood stage of 38.0 FT Friday afternoon then forecast to fall below
monitor stage of 30.0 FT Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 42.0 feet...Flooding of Highway 101 near Requa Rd,
the acess road to Klamath Glen, and adjacent low lying secondary
roads near the delta is likely. Flooding will be amplified if
coincident with high tides and strong onshore winds.
* FLOOD HISTORY...This crest compares to a previous crest of 40.5

strong onshore winds, and for longer duration events. Livestock in
low lying areas of the Eel Delta are at risk due to rising river
levels. Owners of livestock should consider taking appropriate
action to protect livestock.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet...Water will flow over the south bank of the
river approximately 1 mile east of Highway 1, and begin to flood
property in this area including six homes. Expect closure of
Highway 128. Motorists should use alternate routes.

portions of Cannibal Island Road, Camp Weott Road, Salt River, Old
River, and all adjacent low lying areas. Flooding in these areas is
exaggerated when crest timing is coincident with high tides and
strong onshore winds, and for longer duration events. Livestock in
low lying areas of the Eel Delta are at risk due to rising river
levels. Owners of livestock should consider taking appropriate
action to protect livestock.
