...Strong winds ahead of a cold front moving through tonight...

.A cold front in far northwest Missouri will continue to settle
southeast through the rest of the day. Ahead of the front winds
will be rather gusty with sustained speeds ranging above 30 mph
for periods of the afternoon in areas from east central Kansas 
into central and northeast Missouri.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening. 

* TIMING...Strong winds will prevail this afternoon till around 
  sunset. 

* WINDS...will prevail from the southwest at speeds of 25 to 35
  mph...gusting to 45 mph at times...in areas from east central
  Kansas into central and northeast Missouri.

* IMPACTS...Light objects may be moved by gusty winds. High
  profile vehicles may experience difficulty.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of at least 30 mph are expected
with gusts to 45 mph. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
