  Southwestern Trego County in west central Kansas...

* Until 245 AM CDT
    
* At 204 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 8 miles north of Utica, or 21 miles south of Quinter,
  moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

was located 7 miles north of Ransom, or 19 miles south of Wakeeney,
moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.

         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
