...RED FLAG WARNING THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE SOUTHERN LARAMIE RANGE
AND UPPER NORTH PLATTE RIVER VALLEY...

.West to southwest winds will be breezy to windy through the 
afternoon. A very dry airmass will be in place with humidities 
falling into the low to mid teens for the southern Laramie Range 
and Upper North Platte River Valley. Fuels have recently become 
supportive of rapid fire growth, so am issuing this Red Flag 
Warning for critical fire weather conditions.

GUSTY WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 306 AND 309...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 7 PM MDT this evening. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 306. Fire weather zone 309.

* WIND...West to southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph gusting around 40
  mph.

* HUMIDITY...12 to 15 percent.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated thunderstorms with light rainfall are
  anticipated across the area through the afternoon.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
