The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Lycoming County in north central Pennsylvania...

* Until 230 AM EDT.

* At 1137 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported a number of 
  roadways with water covering them and a few mud slides due to the 
  heavy rainfall. Up to two and a half inches of rain have already 
  fallen. Flash flooding is occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Montoursville, Jersey Shore, Williamsport, Collomsville, Barbours,
  Duboistown, Hughesville, Loyalsockville, South Williamsport and
  Garden View.

Excessive rainfall over the warned area is causing mud slides near 
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation 
and other loose materials.

Additional rainfall amounts through 1 am could be up to an inch. 
This would create more flooding and make the current flooding worse.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding. Heed all road closures. Never drive around 
barricades.
