The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Newberry County in central South Carolina...

* Until 445 PM EDT
    
* At 414 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Greenwood State Park, or 20 miles west of
  Newberry, moving north at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northwestern Newberry County, including the following locations:
  Chappells.
