* Until 645 PM EDT

* At 451 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
  begin shortly...especially in the Rocky Branch Creek Area
  of Columbia.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Columbia, Forest Acres, Dentsville, St. Andrews, Woodfields,
  Arcadia Lakes, Five Points, Woodfield, Fort Jackson and Seven Oaks.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT FOR
CENTRAL RICHLAND COUNTY...

At 504 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated very heavy rain
in the Columbia area of Richland County. Rain totals will
likely be around 2 inches, but high rainfall rates may lead
to flooding along some small streams and poor-drainage
urban areas. Be especially cautious around locations such
as along the Rocky Branch Creek in Columbia. 

Remember, it takes little water to move a vehicle off
the road and into deeper water. On foot, keep away from
storm drains.

threat of major flooding has diminished. However, there
may continue to be minor flooding along some small streams
and other poor-drainage areas during the rest of the afternoon.
